Resilience in Agriculture Lending & Insurance Coalition

GCF-fuReports & Publications

The October 2025 report, “Resilience in Agriculture Lending & Insurance Coalition (RALIC),” introduces a multi-year initiative by Transformational Investing in Food Systems (TIFS) to address critical “Missing Middle” data infrastructure in the soil health sector. Running through 2028, RALIC aims to transform private crop insurance systems by converting anecdotal regenerative outcomes into formalized actuarial data, thereby removing a primary barrier to large-scale farmer adoption. By pioneering soil-centric captive insurance models that offer transition support and premium reductions for lower-risk practices, the coalition fosters the market maturity needed to move regenerative agriculture from a niche into standard market practice. Ultimately, this effort aligns the needs of U.S. producers with the requirements of institutional investors and lenders, redefining financial resilience for the future of global food systems.
